We were there at the beginning

Our Linux story goes back over 30 years. In the early days, when Linux was installed from a stack of floppy disks, our CEO was writing kernel patches for Slackware 1.2, one of the first Linux distributions. One hour to compile a kernel on a DX2-66.

We are here now

Automation, scalability and consistency have always been the goals of our founder, Thane Brooker. Our first Linux servers collected their configuration by dialling in over ISDN, and configured themselves using OpenLDAP and Perl. Later generations used Puppet for configuration management, then custom code written in Bash, then Python, then PowerShell. In early 2026, we completed the transition to infrastructure fully deployed and managed by AI.

What we do

Consultancy: planning and design, moving suitable workloads from Windows Server to Linux, security reviews and Cyber Essentials.

Support: expert help for your own IT manager or team, from day-to-day questions to emergencies.

Management: ongoing management of Ubuntu and Debian servers and Proxmox, including updates, security, monitoring and backups.
